Who We Are
WildFiya is what it means to be boldly well. To burn freely. To clear what is keeping you small and grow into the full, luminous version of yourself that has been there all along.
WildFiya is a social club for Black and Brown women who are ready to live unapologetically well and set their world on fire. Like wildfire, we do not ask permission. We do not shrink to make others comfortable. We clear, we restore, and we transform. And every woman we touch carries that fire forward into her own life, her own community, her own world.
We are a community flame. A bonfire, blazing boldly and calling sparks home. We are not hosting events. We are building a home base. A consistent, reliable, beautifully curated space where Black and Brown women come to play, rest, gather, and burn as brightly as they were always meant to.
Our Story
People see a wildfire and they see destruction. Scorched earth. Trees reduced to ash. The instinct is fear. The instinct is loss. What most people do not see is what comes after.
A wildfire does not only destroy. It clears. It releases nutrients locked inside decades of dead material. It burns away the overgrowth that was suffocating the soil beneath it. Wildflowers bloom where they could not reach the light before. New trees take root in ground that had been too dense to grow.
We were built to clear what no longer serves us. To release what has been locked inside too long. To burn away the overgrowth of systems, patterns, and narratives that have been suffocating Black and Brown women for generations, so that what is native and true in us finally has room to breathe, to grow, to bloom. Capitalism keeps you running. Racism keeps you small. Sexism keeps you silent. And the three of them together have spent a long time telling Black women that their exhaustion is their own fault. That rest is laziness.
That joy is a reward for the work, not a right of being alive. That the most they can ask for is to keep going. That is the dead wood. And it is time to let it burn. WildFiya is the fire that clears it. The community that tends the ground after. The home where Black and Brown women come to restore, renew, and rise into who they have always been underneath all of it.

MEET OUR FOUNDER
Afiya Shani has dedicated over two decades of her life to building spaces where Black women can grow and heal.
Afiya is a Swahili word meaning holistic health and wholeness. And she knows, from the inside, what it is to give everything to the work, to the people, to the cause, and to look up one day and realize there is nothing left for yourself. She has lived the version of this story where you keep going because stopping does not feel like an option. Her body has paid the price. And she has seen other women living that same story. So when she could not find a space that understood all of it and offered something different, she built WildFiya.

CALLING ALL THE FIYA STARTERS
Somewhere out there, there are women whose sparks have been waiting to be relit.
Women who have been going through the motions. Women living for everyone around them. Women who have a version of themselves that is crying out to feel more alive, more lit up, more free, and who has not had room to breathe. Women who have been carrying that version around like a secret.
Those women are Fiya Starters.
Not because they need to be fixed. Not because they are broken. But because they carry fire, and fire spreads. Every woman who finds WildFiya and lets her flame burn more boldly and more unapologetically becomes exactly what WildFiya was for her. A light. A hand extended. A reason for another woman to believe her fire is still there.
We are a community built to keep each other burning brightly. Not just for an evening. Over time. Reliably. Together.
